The Cry for Authenticity

 
When the young people associate you with the church’s mission, you will be seen as a truly authentic leader.  The passion you have for mission of the church can be made evident first-hand to the students if you involve yourself directly in the youth ministry.  Not everyone has the talent or calling for working with youth, but there are still things that anyone can do.

Ask the youth pastor if you can help by serving as a Work and Witness 
    coordinator for the youth group.   

You could help the Youth Pastor by planning the mission trips the youth group takes, and making announcements about the trips to the students, and that way you will be the person the students think of when they have questions.

Involve students in other community compassion and outreach ministries your church offers.
